NEW DELHI: India’s industrial output surged 5.7 per cent in July, up from 3.7 per cent in June, according to data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) on September 13. Factory output measured in terms of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for July 2022 stood at 2.2 per cent. The mining output for July 2023 rose to 10.7 per cent, up from -3.3 per cent in the year ago period. Meanwhile, the manufacturing sector output grew by 4.6 per cent in July this year as against 3.1 per cent in July 2022.
