NEW DELHI: Information Commissioner Heeralal Samariya sworn in as Chief Information Commissioner President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to him at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Mr. Samariya was serving as the Information Commissioner in the Central Information Commission.
Vice- President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Minister of State for Personnel Dr. Jitendra Singh were present on the occasion.
The Chief Information Commissioner Heeralal Samariya also administered the oath of office to Information Commissioners Anandi Ramalingam and Vinod Kumar Tiwari at a swearing-in ceremony organised by Central Information Commission.
Anandi Ramalingam is a former Chairman & Managing Director of Bharat Electronics Ltd. (MoD, GOI).
Tiwari is a 1986 batch Indian Forest Service officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre.
