NEW DELHI: The Modi Government plans to gear up Indian Railways for a transformative 100-day mega plan post-Lok Sabha polls 2024 to make it world class. The plan includes a 24-hour ticket refund scheme a comprehensive super app for passengers, and the launch of the final stretch of the Udhampur Srinagar Baramula Rail Link project.
Additionally, sleeper versions of Vande Bharat trains are in the works, along with the introduction of India’s first vertical lift railway bridge and plans to expedite the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project.
According to several news reports, ministries are gearing up to implement various people-friendly measures following PM Modi’s directive to prepare a 100-day plan for the new government. Indian Railways intends to introduce a 24-hour ticket refund scheme, replacing the current three-day process, and launch a comprehensive super app offering multiple services like ticketing and train tracking.
