An Evening in Your Name’, a concert dedicated to the martyrs of the Mumbai terror attack on November 26, 2008, was organised in Frankfurt recently. Sanjay Jaiswal from the Indian embassy was the Chief Guest at the programme.
Ravi Sharma from London, who anchored the programme, said, 26/11 has given us wounds as well as lessons. India’s glorious history, culture, literature, music and rich traditions have inspired us to deal with all kinds of situations, he said.
British singers Ricky and Mickey Sethi, along with Mauritian singer Veda, put up a great performance at the event. Apart from immigrants of Indian origin, the audience comprised Hindu and Sikhs, who were displaced from Afghanistan and had settled in Germany.
The organisers, Karthik Sharma, Director of Karvi Solutions, and Shashi Sharma, Founder of Rishi Sharma Entertainment, thanked the audience at the end of the programme.
