Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the just-concluded state elections is the victory of honesty, transparency, good governance, and the call for a developed India. Addressing BJP workers and functionaries at the party headquarters in New Delhi on December 3, PM Modi called the victory historic and unprecedented. Blitz India will publish, in two parts, the text of the PM’s speech, which covered a wide range of issues. The following is the first part of the text:
Today’s victory is historic and unprecedented. Today, the idea of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas has won.
Today the call for a developed India has won. Today, the resolve for Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India) has won. Today, the idea of giving preference to the deprived has won. Today, the idea of the development of states for the development of the country has won. Today honesty, transparency and good governance have won.
From this platform, I respectfully salute all the voters. People of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh showed immense affection for the BJP. In Telangana also, the support for the BJP is continuously increasing. It is the good fortune of all of us that when we get so much love and trust from our family members, I personally feel that my responsibility increases even more.
Even today, I have the same feeling in my mind. I bow in front of my mothers, sisters and daughters, in front of my young colleagues, in front of my farmer brothers and sisters and in front of my poor families, for the decision that they have made, for their enthusiastic support.
Four biggest castes
In this election, many attempts were made to divide the country into castes. But I was continuously saying that for me only four castes are the biggest castes in the country. When I talk about these four castes – our women power, our youth power, our farmers and our poor families – the country is going to be strengthened only by empowering these four castes.
Today, a large number of our OBC friends come from this category. Today, a large number of our tribal friends fall in this category and in these elections; these four castes have shown a lot of enthusiasm about the schemes of the BJP and the roadmap of the BJP.
Today every poor is saying that he lives on his own. Today every deprived person has a feeling that he himself has won the election. Today every farmer says this, every farmer has won this election. Today every tribal brother and sister is happy thinking that whom he voted for, that victory is his own. Today every first-time voter is proudly saying that my first vote has become the reason for my victory. In this victory, every woman is seeing her victory.
In this victory, every youth who dreams of a better future is seeing his victory. Every citizen, who wants to see India as a developed nation in 2047, is considering it as his success.
Salute to women power
Friends, today I will especially felicitate the women power of the country. I often used to say in rallies that women power has come out determined to hoist the BJP flag in these elections. And when the women power of the country becomes someone’s protective shield, then no power can harm him.
Today, the Nari Shakti Vandhan Adhiniyam has awakened new confidence in the minds of the mothers, sisters and daughters of the country. Today every woman in the country has gained confidence that her active participation in the BJP Government is going to reach new heights. Today every sister and daughter clearly feel that BJP is the biggest guarantee of women’s dignity, women’s respect and women’s safety.
They have seen how honestly BJP has worked in the last ten years to provide them basic facilities like toilet, electricity, gas, tap water, bank accounts etc. Today she is seeing how the BJP is continuously working to provide new opportunities of employment and self-employment to their families to increase their economic participation in the society.
Development of women power is also an important pillar of BJP’s Development Model and hence in these elections, women, sisters and daughters have, in a way, taken the entire responsibility of the BJP’s victory in their hands and have given full blessings. Today I humbly say this to every sister and daughter of the country that the promises made by the BJP to you will be fulfilled hundred per cent. And this is Modi’s guarantee; and Modi’s guarantee means guarantee of the guarantee getting fulfilled.
Youth for development
Friends, the election results have made one more thing clear that the youth of the country want only development. Wherever governments have worked against the youth, those governments have been voted out of power, be it Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh or Telangana. All these governments were surrounded by allegations of paper leaks and recruitment scams.
The result was that the parties in power in these three states are now out of government. Today, the confidence among the youth of the country is continuously increasing that only the BJP understands his aspirations, and works for him. The youth of the country knows that the BJP Government is youth-friendly; it creates new opportunities for the youth.
Friends, today the tribal community of the country is also openly expressing its views. This is the tribal community which remained behind for seven decades due to the policies of the Congress and which was not given opportunities. Their population today is around 10 crore. We have seen in the election results of Gujarat also that the Congress, which never cared for the tribal community, was wiped out by the tribal community.
Today, we have seen the same feeling in MP, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan also. The Congress has been wiped off from the tribal area seats in these states. Today, the tribal society is aspiring for development and they believe that only the BJP Government can fulfil this aspiration.
My family members, today I will appreciate BJP workers of every state, I will praise you immensely. Your loyalty and dedication towards the BJP and Kamal are incomparable. You conveyed the message of the double-engine government to the people with complete honesty. We are getting the results of this today. The way our National President Nadda ji implemented his policy strategy, this victory is a result of that also. And during the elections, a tragic incident happened in his family but despite that, Nadda ji remained steadfast day and night as a Bharatiya Janata Party worker.
Friends, in all these years of politics, I have always stayed away from predictions. I never make promises or make big announcements but this time in this election I had broken this rule of mine. While paying my respects to Mavji Maharaj in Rajasthan, I had made a prediction on his own land that the Congress Government would not return to Rajasthan. I am not a prophet. But I had faith in the people of Rajasthan and today we are seeing the results.
Madhya Pradesh has also shown us again that there is no alternative to BJP’s spirit of service. There has been a BJP Government there for two decades and even after so many years, the trust in the BJP is continuously strengthening. To the family members of Chhattisgarh, when I went to the election meetings there, I myself had said in the first meeting of the elections in Chhattisgarh that I have not come to demand anything from you, I have come to invite you to the oath-ceremony if the government is formed after December 3. It is clear from the results of Chhattisgarh that every family has accepted that thing.
I express my special gratitude to the people of Telangana and the BJP workers of Telangana. The graph of the BJP is continuously increasing in Telangana in every election. I assure the people of Telangana that BJP will leave no stone unturned in your service.
