Through this, we intend to bring to you regular updates, news, views and special features, online. The aim is to share stories of friendship and sustenance, of development and growth, of success and achievements.
And to listen to your stories as well! Our countries have vibrant democracies with great prospects in human resources, manufacturing, science, education, research and innovation, defence and green technologies, among others. And now, the UK-India friendship is witnessing a new dawn.
India and the UK are committed to a partnership that benefits both nations. Under the leadership of Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Rishi Sunak, the bond will grow further. Trade, investment, knowledge, and technology will improve with this collaboration. It will provide a fillip to the progress of the two nations and livelihoods of respective citizens. The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is also expected to be finalised this year. It is time, therefore, to reconnect and to revitalise existing relations.
In the dawn that is set to be ushered in, the diaspora will play an important part. In England and Wales, Indians are the largest number of residents born outside the country. They play a major part in the social and economic fabrics of the country. Now they have a larger role to play in paving the path to renewed friendship and cooperation. We, too, intend to be a part of the new dawn – to care and to share.
