Supporters of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi organised rallies across 16 cities in the United States.
The “Modi ka Parivar March” rallies, coordinated by the Overseas Friends of BJP USA, took place near prominent landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial in Washington and the Golden Gate Bridge on the East Coast. NRIs are confident of Modi’s victory with over 400 parliamentary seats in the upcoming elections.
Adapa Prasad, head of the organising group, said the diverse representation of the Indian American community from various states demonstrated unity and solidarity in their support for Modi’s leadership. “Members of the Indian American community representing various states of India, Kashmir to Kerala and Maharashtra to the east came out in all colours to march … at iconic places in over 16 cities in America,” said Prasad.
According to Sachindra Nath from San Francisco, the march symbolised admiration and support for Modi’s governance, attracting participants of all ages who gathered to express their unwavering endorsement of his vision for India. Nath highlighted the broad appeal and positive impact of Modi’s governance, reflecting a shared aspiration for an inclusive, developed, and prosperous India among diverse age groups.
“The enthusiastic participation of such a diverse age group underscored the wide-reaching appeal and impact of Modiji’s governance and his vision for an inclusive, developed, and prosperous India,” Nath said.
