NEW DELHI: Students of Kendriya Vidyalayas can now pay their school fees via BHIM UPI or Bharat BillPay-enabled UPI mobile apps like Google Pay or PhonePe. The collaboration has been enabled by the Union Bank of India.

In an announcement, Nattional Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) said, “Adding KVS as an education fees biller aligns with the Reserve Bank of India’s vision of expanding the scope of the Bharat Bill Payment System to enhance digital empowerment across India’s educational landscape.” Currently, there are 1.4 million students enrolled in KVs across the country.
